Exporting Your Group

Group Exports give you a detailed, row-by-row view of a group so you can confirm which contacts are ready for texting or calling. After you upload a group, download the export to see each contact’s ThruText and ThruTalk status and, when available, why a number is invalid. This guide explains when to export, how to download the file, and what each column means so you can quickly filter and fix your data before launching campaigns.

Open the Group Details page and click Export to download the CSV with validation details.

Column Glossary

The group export will provide a CSV file that includes the following:

  • Identifiers: first_name, last_name, phone — the contact’s basic info.
  • Validation & Status: Columns for ThruText and ThruTalk.
    • thru_text_status: Valid if the number is textable (mobile); Invalid otherwise.
    • thru_text_invalid_reason: Reason shown when thru_text_status = Invalid.
    • thru_talk_status: Valid if the number is callable; Invalid otherwise.
    • thru_talk_invalid_reason: Reason shown when thru_talk_status = Invalid.
  • Suppressions: Account-level: thru_text_opt_out, thru_talk_do_not_call. Based on the status at the upload time, opt-out and/or DNC numbers will have a TRUE status.
  • Carrier Information
    • carrier_type: Mobile, Landline, VOIP, or Unknown.
    • carrier_name: Name reported by carriers.
  • Custom Fields: Any mapped custom fields from your CSV appear as additional columns.

Notes & Limitations

  • Invalid reasons for ThruText commonly include landline, VOIP, and other non-textable types.
  • Occasionally, carriers report that a mobile number has been disconnected; these appear Invalid for texting.
