Search, Review, and Manage Contact Records in One Place

The Phone Number Lookup Tool (PNLT) lets you quickly search for detailed information about a phone number across your GetThru account. You can see which groups the number was uploaded in, what campaigns it's been part of, and whether it's opted out or marked as Do Not Call (DNC). Whether you're troubleshooting, verifying contact status, or managing opt-outs, this tool quickly gives you a full picture about a phone number.

The lookup tool can help you answer questions such as:

  • "Has this number already been uploaded?"
  • "Why can’t I text or call this contact?"
  • "What campaigns has this person received messages from?"

Instead of checking multiple groups or exports, you can view all information about a phone number in one place.

Opt Out and Do Not Call

After you search a number, its Opt Out and Do Not Call (DNC) status will appear at the top of the page.

This image shows the search and opt out details section of the phone number lookup page. It has numbers that highlight different parts of the page with corresponding definitions below the image.

  1. Opt Out Toggle: Indicates whether the number is blocked from being texted. Opt-outs prevent a number from being messaged from any active or future ThruText campaign in your account.
  2. Do Not Call (DNC) Toggle: Indicates whether the number is blocked from being called via ThruTalk. When enabled, the system prevents it from being called from any active or future ThruTalk campaign in your account.
  3. Opt Out Details: When a number is opted out, date and source of the opt out is displayed. The time is displayed in the local time zone.
  4. Added On: When a phone number is marked do not call, the date it was added is displayed. The time is displayed in the local time zone.

Groups

The Groups tab shows every group where the phone number was uploaded.

This image shows the groups section of the phone number lookup page. It shows 3 example groups and details in the columns for name, status, uploaded date, and contact name.

The columns in this table show:

  • Name: A clickable link to the group's details page.
  • Status: The current status of the group (active or archived)
  • Uploaded: The date when the group was uploaded
  • Contact Name: The name used in the group, which can vary across groups

You can sort the Name, Status, and Uploaded columns. Hover over a column header and click the arrow to toggle ascending or descending order.

Campaigns

The Campaigns tab lists all ThruText and ThruTalk campaigns that included the number. This excludes draft campaigns as well as any campaigns where the number was part of a remove segment.

This shows the campaigns tab on the phone number lookup page. There is a talk and a text campaign showing. There are 4 columns with details about the campaigns such as name, type, status, and Launched date.

The columns in this table show:

  1. Name: Clickable link to the campaign's summary page
  2. Type: The product - ThruText or ThruTalk
  3. Status: The current status of the campaign (active, archived, inactive, scheduled, and bulk sending)
  4. Launched: When the campaign was launched. It is sorted descending by default, with newer campaigns at the top.

All 4 columns in this table are sortable.

Opt Out Events

The Opt Out Events tab shows a history of all ThruText opt-out activity for the number.

This page shows the opt out events tab on the phone number lookup page. This contains columns with details about the events such as Status, timestamp, contact name, and note.

The columns in this table show:

  1. Status: A green check icon means the number opted in; a red circle with a slash means opted out.
  2. Timestamp: The date and time of the event.
  3. Contact Name: The name associated with the number in the original upload.
  4. Note: Event details, including opt-in/out method, user who created the event, and how the opt-out occurred.

In the opt out events tab, only the Timestamp column is sortable.

Need to Opt Out a Contact You Haven’t Reached Yet?

You may have a contact who hasn’t been reached from your current account but still needs to be opted out. For example, a contact might opt out in another account your organization uses.

The Phone Number Lookup Tool only allows you to opt out numbers that were previously contacted from your account. To opt out contacts who haven’t received messages or calls from your account, use the Opt Out Manager or the Do Not Call page instead.
