Browser Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble loading GetThru or if parts of the tool aren't working as expected, your browser settings may be the cause. This guide will help you troubleshoot potential connection or browser issues that may impact your experience using GetThru.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Recommended Browsers
For best performance, we recommend using one of the following browsers:
Ensure that you have the latest version of your browser. You can check for updates by following the steps in these guides:
- Google Chrome: Update Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox: Update Firefox to the latest release
Try Private Browsing
If you're experiencing unexpected behavior, try opening GetThru in a private window. Private browsers don’t use saved cookies or cache, which helps determine if the issue is related to stored browser data.
- Google Chrome - Browse in Incognito mode
- Mozilla Firefox - Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history
If GetThru works in a private window, your regular browser may have outdated or problematic data.
Clear Cookies and Cache
To fix issues related to stored data, clear your browser's cookies and cache.
- Google Chrome - Delete, allow, and manage cookies in Chrome (see Delete specific cookies section)
- Mozilla Firefox - How to clear the Firefox cache
Try Switching Browsers
Still having issues? Switching to a different browser can help to narrow the issue to something in a particular browser. For example, if you're using Chrome, switch to Firefox—or vice versa.
Browser Extensions
Browser extensions, such as password managers, ad blockers, or grammar tools, can interfere with how GetThru works. If switching browsers fixed your issue, an extension might be the cause. Try disabling extensions one-by-one to pinpoint which one may be causing the behavior you're having trouble with.
