Did you get an error message while trying to sign up or log in to your ThruText account?
Not to worry, here are a few common error messages and how to troubleshoot them:
Error Message Could not accept invitation: Phone / Email has already been taken
This means that you have probably registered to text for another organization at some point in the past. You will need to login to your existing account where if you need to, you will be able to edit your email address in your profile. Then have your texting administrator issue a fresh invitation to the proper email address.
Error Message "Could not load invitation; please refresh to try again"
This means that you have already accepted your invitation for this organization and are an active sender on that account. You can check to see if you've already accepted an invitation for that account by viewing your organizations page at thrutext.io/accounts. Since invitation links are designed to only work once, in the future you'll want to sign in and bookmark thrutext.io/accounts to access your assignments.
Error Message: "Incorrect email and password combination, please try again"
This means that your email address and password combination do not match. Clicking "Reset Password" (or going to thrutext.io/reset) and typing in the email address you are registered with will send a password reset link to your inbox. Note: If you do not receive this email it could mean that 1) it got sent to a spam folder, 2) your network has blocked the email for some reason, or 3) you didn't type your email address in correctly. Try sending yourself another reset link and if you still do not receive it, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can assist.
