While ThruText offers VAN Integration with both the My Voter and My Campaign side, the VAN API  doesn't allow you to create a group with both the VAN ID and VAN Campaign ID fields in the same list. 


To do this in ThruText, you will need to manually export your Saved List from VAN, making sure to include both the VAN ID and VAN Campaign ID fields, as well as any additional custom fields you want access to. Create a new group, and map both the VAN ID and Van Campaign ID fields to their corresponding custom fields in ThruText (as well as any additional custom fields). If you have mapped the two VAN ID fields correctly, you will be able to access both the My Voter and My Campaign Survey Questions on the Surveys section of Campaign Creation.


*ThruTip: While all your contacts will have a VAN ID, they won't necessarily have a VAN Campaign ID. When using a My Campaign Survey Question, the answer will turn red when answered because there isn't a VAN Campaign ID to sync to. To verify this, you can refer to your CSV and see if the contact has a VAN Campaign ID.
