Before you can begin calling, you need to build a script in the script manager. Below are step by step instructions and links to articles with more information on each subject.

Note: Be sure to save your script after each change and test the script logic and use the Admin Script Preview.

Step by Step:

  1. There are two ways to create a script but this outline will be creating a script from scratch. This will be a completely empty script. Click the "Create a New Script" button to proceed.

  2. Click on or drag the Default Starting Question template from the left panel to insert it into the script body.
  3. Add your next question to follow the Starting Question. Usually radiogroups will be the best choice but you can add other General question types or Templates to your scriptOnce added you will need to configure the following:
    • Start by editing your question. Click the edit button for that question.
    • Each question needs a unique name and should always be set when you create a new question.
    • The Question Text is the text your caller will see.
    • Answers are the buttons.
    • Visible If will set the conditions in which the question will appear. Use the dropdown menus to select a question, an operator, and corresponding value that will fulfill the needed condition.
      • Since this is the first question after the Starting Question the visible if will be set to appear if the caller clicks on "Talking to Correct Person".
      • Hit the Add button and the editor will generate the statement
  4. Decide on your script flow and repeat the previous step to add additional questions.
    • Normally a question's visible ifs will be based on the previous question's answers so your next question's visible if logic might look like this based on these examples:
    • To appear from specific answers on the previous question:
      • {FavoriteColor} = "Red"
      • {FavoriteColor} = "Green"
      • {FavoriteColor} = "Blue"
    • To appear if ANY of the previous answers are selected
      • {FavoriteColor} notempty
  5. Once you are done adding questions to the script you will need to set all visible if conditions on your ending text which is included in the Default Starting Question template so callers know when the script is complete. Any early script exits should be accounted for such as a "Strong Oppose" ID.
    • If the ending text is set to appear after the last question in your script the visible if will look like this:

  6. Check your questions are in order.
  7. Once you feel you have it to a good place, check the link for what callers see in the external script preview
  8. Click through the script one last time to be sure it is ready for your callers. We highly encourage you read your script out loud before you start calling to test the length and to make sure that it sounds natural.
  9. Your script is ready for use!
