How to run a PatchThru - Video (58 seconds)

Note: Watch Making Calls in ThruTalk to learn more about how to make calls.

Step 1. Click "PatchThru" to access the call transfer options menu.

The transfer button appears near the bottom of the left side of the screen, immediately above the term codes.

Step 2. The "PatchThru Options" popup window will show your options:

The Transfer Options pop up window appears in the middle of the screen and functions as your transfer phone book.

Step 3. The caller is live as soon as the PatchThru starts so confirm your caller is ready to start speaking, then select the correct option and press "Dial." You will hear a beep to confirm the transfer call is going out.

Double click on a name in the phone book, then the dial button appears in a confirmation dialogue.

Step 4. Once connected, your "Conference" pop-up will look like the screenshot below:

The conference screen confirms the connection and shows the caller and recipient's phone numbers.

Step 5. Once you are sure the call was connected, click the "Leave Conference" button to leave the PatchThru and continue making calls. We recommend staying on the line for a few seconds before leaving to ensure that the transfer was successful.

The leave conference button is at the bottom of the conference window - situated farthest to the right in a group of four buttons.

Step 6. After leaving the conference, you will be able to select the appropriate term code on the left as you normally would.

Choose the best term code from the term code options, located at the bottom left of the Thrutalk agent window.

Step 7. Then click "Save" to move on to the next call.

You can also select ready to continue calling, or not ready if you are done making calls.

That’s it! Thanks for making calls and have fun transferring!
